Courtney Flores graduated from the Georgia Tech in 2002 with a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. She currently works for Peoples & Quigley, Inc., a civil/environmental engineering firm, designing sewer systems and wastewater treatment plants, and managing construction projects. She became an engineer to make an impact to society; without engineers, we wouldn’t have the high standard of living that we enjoy today. By participating in "Introduce A Girl", she wants to encourage young women to study engineering and show them how they can place their mark on society and the world by being engineers. Courtney also enjoys running and has run several races. She will be running the Silver Comet ½-marathon in October.
